Picture Day helps you plan what your group wears for a photo. This page says what we collect, why, who it goes to, and how to have it deleted. Picture Day is run by Full Night Mode LLC (“we”).

What we collect

Your account: your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name and picture Google shares with us, if any. We also keep when you signed in.

Your answers: who is in your group and how each person should be drawn (role, age group, clothing style, skin tone, hair, and any notes you type), the occasion, the styles and colors you like, and the pieces you want to wear. We never ask for names, race or ethnicity.

Photos you choose to add: inspiration photos, and photos of a piece of clothing. We make a smaller copy on your phone and send only that copy.

How you use the app: which screens you open and what you tap, such as starting a set of looks or saving one, and recordings of your screens while you use the app. In recordings, everything you type and every photo you add is hidden. We also record what each set of looks cost us to make.

Technical details your browser sends to every website, such as your device type and IP address.

How we use it

To make your looks: your answers and photos are sent to OpenAI, which writes the plan for your looks and makes their pictures.

To run your account and keep it secure, to understand how people use the app and improve it, to keep track of our costs, and to stop misuse.

We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t share it with anyone except the services below.

Who it goes to

OpenAI makes the looks. It receives your answers and the small copies of your photos. Under OpenAI’s terms, it doesn’t use them to train its models, and it may keep them for up to 30 days to check for abuse, then deletes them.

Supabase runs our accounts and database. It keeps your email address, the looks you save, and our record of costs.

PostHog measures how the app is used and keeps the screen recordings.

Vercel hosts the app and keeps short-lived server logs.

Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.

All of these services are in the United States. We may also share information if the law requires it, or with whoever takes over Picture Day if it is ever sold, under the same promises.

Your looks

The looks you save with the heart are kept with your account, with their pictures, so you can see them on any device you sign in on. We keep each look’s name, colors, what everyone wears, and its picture, which shows people made up by the app, not your photos. We don’t keep the description of your group with them.

Your latest looks, the ones you haven’t saved, stay on your device, not on our servers. If you clear your browser’s data or change phones, they are gone.

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s storage to keep your looks and to tell your visits apart for our usage measurements.

How long we keep it

Your account, its records and the looks you save are kept until you delete your account. A look you take out of your saved looks is deleted from our servers too. Usage data is kept for up to one year, and screen recordings for up to 30 days. We don’t keep your photos: they are sent to be read and are not saved on our servers.

Children

Picture Day is for adults planning a photo, and you must be 18 or older to make an account. If you describe a child in your group, use only the choices the app offers and leave out anything private. Please don’t add photos in which a child can be seen. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from Profile. It is deleted right away, with everything we keep about you, your saved looks included, and so are the looks on that phone. Two things we can’t erase on the spot: the copies OpenAI keeps for up to 30 days, which it then deletes, and usage data, which isn’t linked to your email and is kept for up to one year.

To see or correct the information we hold about you, or for any question, email hello@pictureday.one from the address you sign in with. We’ll answer within 30 days.

Everything on the person screen is optional. You can use the app without adding any photos.

Security

Information travels encrypted, access to our database is limited to what each part of the app needs, and our keys are never in the app’s code. No service is perfectly secure; if a problem ever affects your information, we will tell you.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is important. Questions: hello@pictureday.one.
